The Government of PNG will provide information on how the seven Cancun safeguards have been “addressed” and “respected” throughout the implementation of the REDD+ activities , in accordance with PNG’s description of the Cancun safeguards.
Indicators to demonstrate the Cancun safeguards have been ‘addressed’ are linked to qualitative information about the relevant governance arrangements (e.g. Policies, Laws and Regulations – PLRs) in place. Indicators with regards to ‘respected’, are linked to both qualitative and quantitative information about processes and resultant outcomes of their implementation.
